Not too long ago I discovered that I absolutely love using Aromaleigh’s Aromatherapy Lip Balm under my eyes. It’s smooth and emollient and really moisturizes and protects the delicate skin under my eyes. After years of wearing contacts I feel like I probably could have taken better care of my eye area, the in and out of the contacts as a teen was a lot of tugging and pulling that I’m sure did a lot of damage I’m going to start seeing as I get older.
I went through my first tube and needed to order myself a new one. Kristen had a few new scents out, so I picked Gingersnap. I was telling my cousin about how well they worked and she was concerned the flavoring was going to burn my eyes, but they are made with essential oils, not harsh artificial flavoring.
Of course, I can’t just order ONE thing from Aromaleigh, so I ended up with a pleasant little mini-haul that I left under my Christmas tree to unwrap.

I ordered:
Aromatherapy Lip Balm in Gingersnap-
While I’m sure this is great on your lips, I love it under my eye. I put a little on under my moisturizer in the morning and then smooth it on again at night after I wash my face. I’ve noticed my skin is smoother and softer and the small lines that I thought I saw starting to appear aren’t as noticeable.
I’m not sure it’s something for everyone, I’m sure people with more sensitive skin might find it aggravating, and I’ll admit next time I probably will get it unscented.
Nourishing Color Creme Limited Edition in Candy Cane
Get this before it’s gone. Go on. I linked it above for you, I’ll wait. I love this, from the peppermint scent to the subtle nude color. When I do a classic eye I usually try to just stick with a nude lip. Sometimes I just don’t want any lip color at all and stick with a balm. This is the best of both. A nourishing balm and an amazing nude shimmer. It’s just subtle but stunning.
Rocks Sonic Lips Nourishing Lip Tint in Fiction Romance
These lip tints are another great alternative to actual lipstick. They leave a sheer wash of color at the same time soften your lips. It’s so dry here in San Diego most of the year, I love being able to keep my lips soft and not have to have them buried under a layer of lipstick.
Pure Cover Coverup in #2
I wanted to try this mineral cover up for a while. Normally I don’t use a cover up, I don’t like the ones I’ve tried. I don’t like layers of things I can feel on my face. After my primer and foundation I only want to put a little powder on and be out. I don’t have all that uneven of a skin tone or blemishes, but I do have some problem spots around my nose (broken blood vessels) from constant sinus problems. I find a light dusting of this before my setting powder is just enough coverage without too much weight or thickness.
En Point Eye Shadows in Clara and Tutu
I can’t get enough of these shadows. I love the plush finish. I can’t think of any other company, certianly no major name brand, that has this unique finish.
Clara – Festive warm purple with a twist… an unexpected smokey base and a sweet blue and pink traveling iridescent highlight.
Tutu – Soft pink violet plush matte base with an effervescent golden copper highlight.
Solstice 2009 Eye Shadow in Nasturtium
I collect red eye shadows. I know, it’s sort of an odd color and its hard to wear, but I always try to pick up new ones when they pique my interest.
Nasturtium – Dramatic neutral red, sparkling with highlights of pink sparks
Rocks Sonic Eyes in Just Like Heaven
I don’t think I can really say much about the Rocks collection that hasn’t already been said. It’s amazing. I finally ordered this one because it’s my favorite song, Just Like Heaven.
Just Like Heaven – clear, shimmering cool green with bright sparks.
